Austin received the hit of the week award for football this week. Each week when the coaches review the game film at their meeting, they decide on a player who had an outstanding game the week before. This week Austin got it. He had 4 sacks & several NICE tackles. He is really doing well & playing hard. He starts both ways each week so he's seeing TONS of playing time. He was really excited to be picked by the coaches. Nice job Aust!

To die for Roast...
Here's a picture of our dinner from tonight. We had this roast and it was soooo good. The meat was tender and juicy. Here's the recipe:
1 3 lb. Roast
2 cans Cream of Mushroom soup
1 pkg. Liptons Onion Soup mix
Carrots
Potatoes
Put roast in crockpot, mix soups together & pour over roast. Cook on low for 6-8 hours. About 1 hour before roast is done, cut up potatoes & boil with carrots for 9 minutes, then add to roast until done. (This way they don't get over cooked & mushy). Enjoy!!

Arrow of Light Award!!
Austin received his Arrow of Light Award this week at Scouts. This is the highest award they can get in Boy Scouts, so we're really proud of him. Here's a picture with the other boys that got it that night. Billy Huxley, Cole Welsh, Austin & Marty Adams. Way to go Aust!!Here's a picture of the proud parents with him after he got it. Don't we look thrilled?
My Dad helped Austin quite a bit with his merit badges. He came to watch him get his awardHere's Austin pinning on my Mothers pin. Willis told him if he poked me, he couldn't east dinner that night. FUNNY!!

Baggie Ice Cream...
So a few nights ago we decided to make baggie Ice Cream for dessert. It was way fun for the boys for the 1st minute or two, but then they were complaining that their hands were getting cold. It was fun, you just put your ingredients in a small baggie and then put that into a larger baggie with salt & ice and shake your little body away. It was pretty good!

Soccer has begun!
Soccer has begun for Austin & Jordan, so besides the 5 football practices for Austin, the football game for Austin, and 2 flag football games for Jordan, each of the boys have a soccer practice & a soccer game. It makes it fun to squeeze everything in each week. This is a picture of Jordan and his buddie Matthew from school. Even though they aren't on the same soccer team, they are still good buddies. This is after their game last week.

Colby goes to Preschool!!
YAH!! Last child going to school! Colby started school today at Mrs. Critchlow's Little Red Schoolhouse. This is the same school I went to, along with Austin & Jordan. She does a great job & the boys really like the teachers there. Colby used to not be able to say Mickles, so when he found out he was going to Mrs. Critchlow's for school, when you asked him his name, he would say it was Colby Joseph Mrs. Critchlow. Funny!

We went up to the Uinta's for Labor Day weekend. Ty, Nat, Raymie, my Mom & Dad all went up. Other than the rainstorm, thunder & Lightning we had a good time. We were a little cold & wet, next year we'll plan it a little earlier in the year. We rented this ranger while we were up there. It was fun, a little pricey because of a mishap, but the kids had fun!
This picture made me laugh because of Jordan & Colby's poses.
Ty probably having a teaching moment & Jordan & Austin probably thinking "When is this going to be over".
Jordan and Raymie having a bonding moment. Jord was showing her all of the pictures and our camera.
This is at Beaver lake. We stayed there all of about 20 minutes before the storm came in. I swear the road into it was the bumpiest road in the state. It was horrible. Willis kept driving way close to Ty & I was yelling that we were going to crash. It was a pretty drive, but the drive sucked pretty bad.
