So last night we were lucky enough to get our work tickets to go watch the Jazz play the Nuggets. We took Jordan's friend Payton and everyone had a great time! It was way cool cause they a tribute to Larry Miller. They shined a spot ligh on his chair the whole game.

The Ultimate Super Bowl Party Recipe Smackdown!!
The Superbowl is just around the corner. I think I look forward to the food just as much as I do the game. I love sitting around eating everyone's food they brought. Today I am blogging about my 3 entries I submitted for the Ultimate Recipe Super Bowl Party Recipe Showdown, hosted by Lori at http://therecipegirl.blogspot.com/. Bloggers can submit up to three Super Bowl recipe favorites, and the winner will receive a $250 gift card to Sam's Club, and who cant use that.
BOIL artichoke hearts in water for about 10 minutes. Drain & chop. Melt cream cheese until softened. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl until throughly mixed. Enjoy!!
My first entry were these Cookies. My Grandma always made them for special occasions growing up so we named them MeMe's Cookies. (I think the icing is the best part).
Cookies:
½ cup Butter
1 ½ cups Sugar
2 Eggs
1 cup Sour Cream
1 teaspoon Vanilla
2 ¾ cups Flour
½ teaspoon Baking Soda
½ teaspoon Baking Powder
½ teaspoon Salt
Beat butter, sugar and eggs until well blended and fluffy. Add the sour cream and vanilla and again beat until well blended. Sift together the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Add to the butter mixture and blend until smooth and blended well. Chill dough for at least one hour. The dough will be sticky. I use a dough scoop just a tad smaller than a tablespoon. Drop desired size of dough onto a greased cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Bake at 425 degrees for 9 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove cookies from oven and cookie sheet and place on a cooling rack.

Burnt Butter Icing:
½ cup Butter
4 cups sifted Confectioners' Sugar
4 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
Melt butter in a saucepan over a medium-high heat. Cook stirring constantly until the butter is light brown in color. Do not burn but do not under cook either. Add confectioner's sugar, vanilla and milk to butter in a bowl and beat on high with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Add more milk or confectioner's sugar as needed. Frost the cookies immediately because this frosting will set quickly.

My second entry was these Hooters Hot Wings. They are always requested when I am supposed to bring something to a family occasion.
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoons black pepper
Mix together. Add chicken pieces and coat. Heat oil, once heated add chicken to oil and cook until crispy.
1/2 cup Franks Hot Sauce
1/4 cup melted butter
Blend together and coat chicken wings with sauce. Enjoy!!
My final entry was this Artichoke Spinach Dip. It's really good served with crackers or baggette bread.
2 small cans artichokes hearts, drained
1 tsp salt
1 lb cream cheese - room temperature
1 cup Parmesan cheese
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp garlic powder
6-oz pack spinach, chopped
